Slowly but surely the painting of the tongue and groove makeover is happening. I was looking back at when I first started this and it was April 2015 that I finished the verandah roof and a very big job I might add, and Nov. 2015 was when I did the two front bedrooms.
Will I won't I scenario was the next 5 yr. stint with the bathroom having it's first coat somewhere in those years, and now I am about to hit the public areas which was a big decision in case I ruined the whole lot. No going back with this painting over T&G boards.
A photo reminder.

3 sides of a Veranda roof finished 2015 Poles now painted by Miss P. |
Of course there have been heaps of other major things in the middle years, from overseas travel, medical operations, Kitchen renovation, and Bathroom so I haven't been slacking really when I look back.
So other than the window which needs its 2nd coat, the bathroom is now done including the new flywire screen John has been making.
Ceiling before with its temporary light of many years. |
Now finished finally. John has also been putting up bits of wood to finish off areas, although I have asked him to give them to me to paint first. I spotted one in this ceiling while taking the photo.
Window frame still to finish. |
The past couple of weeks I have been attacking the separate toilet, a very awkward job with a ladder in there, and barely room to move. Its window is also half done as I am doing the two at the same time. This little room has a full two walls in pine either side.
Very awkward to take photo too. Toilet area before and After.
From here it is into the entrance hallway.
From this little entrance on, will not have the roof done. |
Hallway to bedrooms with all the junk from rooms, will be next. |
It has been a busy month, painting these walls 3 coats in all.
This area and small entranceway have slate floors so they have had one coat of paint as well, but need a 2nd one also. Glad for my rest day today.
White African Violet flowering again. |
Till Next Time.
