2019 International Garden & Flower Show Melbourne

It has been 2 years since we visited this show, unfortunately it was cold, rainy and I was coming down with a cold, so not the easiest time. We did meet up with my best girlfriend and husband and my brother, SIL, their eldest daughter plus her son, so it was really good to meet, " the family".

Entrance to the show, The Exhibition Building

We all arrived at different times so John and I had a quick look around at the inside, mainly flowers, with student and businesses displays.

There was a bridal theme in one area.

Again this year a display of manequins dressed in flowers.

The first thing we did was get some coffee, we had driven from Seymour 75 mins away and my girlfriend caught the train, which is easier in the city, but also more than an hour, so both of us had been up early.

This show is huge, a combination of market stalls all garden related, some very interesting rusty sculptures, snails seem to be the in thing this year. Equipment of all sorts from gloves with claw fingers, to even Felco Secuteer stand where those in the know were bringing them in for cleaning. For $25 plus postage you can send them in from anywhere in Australia, something I didn't  know. We bought a pair of springs for one of ours that went missing $10 for the small set. Come in 3 sizes which I also didnt know. Carts were popular, as were wall planters.

Plus pot planters, some had a hydoponic system as well

Of course the disply gardens were popular, and being a Sunday crowded.

Had to visit Diggers, but they were closing as we arrived. The garden set up represents a home garden, looked fabulous.

Of course lots of flowers everwhere, and the bulb sellers had lots blooming as well.

Cyclamen

A tower of chilli

Liked this idea also.

So much more, but if you ever have a chance to visit, highly recommend going.

Till Next Time.
