It is not often we do a dinner and a show, but 2 months ago we booked one with a 3 course dinner and watching the 4 original 10 tenors who call themselves Tenori.
My sister and her workmate also joined us, and what a fabulous night we had.
Once more we went to our favorite restaurant Anchors Wharf in Urunga, and along with probably 100 more guests, ate our way through a large menu. I enjoyed an entree of salmon, main meal of steak, and sweets of a citrus tart with rasberry sorbet. Very delicious and filling. There was a three way drop, so those fussy ones swapped around, but I liked all of mine so kept them lol.
The first groups of songs was before entree, while drinks were being served.
This was my view overlooking the water in in the early evening. |
As night came the roof was covered in fairy lights, looked very pretty.
One group of guest arrived in style in their boat, wouldn't you just love to do that?
At the end was dancing, so all the tables were pushed to the edges. The group then sang modern dance tunes. The variety of songs over the night was vast from opera, 1940 - 50 era with its slow tenor songs, then the 60s and 70s during the dancing.
Jan and I got up and danced too. We are experts at Y M C A hand actions now!
Till Next Time
